Karlyn Kenner closed out the game late in the fourth for the Warriors. He poured in 13 of his team high 23 points with less than four minutes to play. The senior point guard made several free throws down the stretch as Southlake was forced to foul. SGP, the 7th ranked team in the state, was victorious in their season opener 66-57. Junior forward Christian Turner chipped in 10, Jevon Flournoy and Sorrell Butler had 7 each. Both freshman teams and JV secured wins to complete the program sweep of Southlake.
